Hi, I'm Jon

JustBeLeadership is all about leading and connecting others intentionally and in the moment. My goal is to instill a culture of belonging in every organization I work with. I believe leadership is not just about managing people, but about creating meaningful relationships that drive growth and change. Let's work together to build a strong and successful culture and take your organization to the next level.

Our Mission

At JustBeLeadership, our mission is driven by connections, culture and
community. We believe teams and individuals should recognize, reach
and sustain their highest potential. We will achieve this by building
strong personal relationships with everyone we work with while sharing
trust, vulnerability and a sense of belonging.

Head Coach, Middlebury College Women’s Soccer

When it comes to team building and leadership development, you won’t find better than Jon Hammond. He has a unique and highly effective way of putting groups at ease, then bringing them together to create a sum that is much greater than its individual parts. Any organization – whether athletic, educational, or business – would benefit from Jon’s expertise, as he is simply the best. Share your goals, strengths, and challenges with Jon, and let him work with your team. Your members will thank you for it!

Brea Schwartz, Vermont Day School

Faculty Team Building

Jon's team building for teachers is a powerful experience. Not only do our teachers continue to connect over these shared experiences, they use the tools they learned with their students for years to come. For all the PD teachers do over the years, this is one of the very few that is requested over and over again. We love Jon!

MS Team Building

Jon's team building sessions are impactful and lasting for our students. The lessons are used all year long and our students often use them as tools in their school lives. Every year students request more days with Jon! They have been heard saying comments like "Jon is magic" and "We need more Jon!" Jon is an absolute guru at team building and after he has worked with our students we can feel it  and see it.

Palliative Care Advanced Practice Provider Supervisor

"I am so grateful for the warm, inclusive and joyful instructional style of Jon Hammond as he led the opening team-building exercise at our annual retreat. His enthusiasm for guiding teams is delightful and inspiring/  He has seemingly limitless energy and creativity. The activities with Jon were by far the highlight of the retreat.  I found the leadership and personal growth messaging that he incorporated into the activities to be clever, memorable and readily applicable to our daily work life.  I can't wait to have Jon back for another session. I can't wait to have him back for a whole day or multi-day event with my team.

Shawna D'Amour, SNHU Professor

Director of Education Licensure

Jon visited my class to demonstrate the “Power of Play'' to undergraduate education majors. We spent 90 minutes bonding through games, teamwork, and problem solving. The energy was palpable, and the room was full of laughter. Jon has a natural and intuitive way about him. He creates a safe space that allows people to step into the discomfort.  He can build trust in a short window of time. There was this magical shift halfway through the class when egos, self-doubt, and insecurities vanished. Everyone was able to let their guard down, be silly, and more importantly, vulnerable.  When people are vulnerable,  true connections happen. I highly recommend Jon to any group looking to strengthen their team dynamics and relationships. A year later my students are still talking about Jon’s visit!
